Norvel Gardens is a conceptual identity design project developed for a proposed community park in Ferntree Gully, transforming the site of a former brick quarry into a welcoming public green space. The project explores how visual design can connect history with a new community purpose. Through research into the site’s industrial past and surrounding natural environment, I developed a visual identity that balances heritage and nature, using typography, colour, and graphic elements inspired by brick textures, garden landscapes, and the park’s local context.
I designed a cohesive identity system that extends across multiple park touchpoints, including signage, brochures, posters, and environmental installations. Throughout the process I refined the designs through iteration and feedback, improving clarity, hierarchy, and visual consistency. The final outcome presents Norvel Gardens as a modern community destination while preserving references to its quarry history, demonstrating how a structured typographic system can shape a strong and recognisable brand experience.
